To the Cave!

I recently moved to escape very high rent. I found an apartment in the basement of a house that is just perfect. The apartment is set up in a line from the front door all the way to the back wall. Walking down the stairs to my front door, most of the people who have come to visit are slightly worried. The hallway is not in the best repair and it can be a bit scary the first time down the stairs. My tall friends have all had to learn to duck because the ceiling in the stairway is so low. Once in my apartment it is clear where the money for remodeling went. The windows are large with deep ledges that provide extra shelving. The walls are pale yellow which makes the apartment seem light and airy even though I am living in a basement. The living room leads to a cozy kitchen that is just big enough for my cooking whims. The kitchen also has all new appliances which confused me the first time I tried to turn on the oven. Digital oven controls do not rely on dials to set the temperature. It took a few minutes for me to figure that out. From the kitchen, walking straight back, is storage space to the left and the bathroom to the right. The bathroom is very small and has only a shower stall, no bath tub. This does not bother me nearly as much as the placement of the mirror directly across from the clear shower door. If you turn your back to the shower nozzle, you get to watch yourself shower. Lastly, the bedroom is straight back from the bathroom and storage. It is a small but comfortable apartment, just right for one person and a kitten.

Tank Tops

The joy of working in a kitchen means there is no real uniform and the clothing you wear does not have to be classy because it will just get greasy. This means my closet has many cheap t-shirts and pants for work and only a few nice shirts for the rare occasion I need to look professional. The remainder of my “outfits” are pajamas, sweats and yoga pants. As I have today off from work, I am wearing a pair of black yoga pants and a grey, long sleeved thermal. This is the logical choice as I will be doing house work and research all day. I will not need to leave the apartment nor will I have company coming over. This means I can sit in my chair or dance around the apartment wearing whatever I fancy. As the seasons are changing here, the best choice is something that will keep me warm. There will be no shorts and tank tops for a few months now.

Tips to Take Care of Dogs

Human beings know the methods to take care of them. However, dogs do not have that ability. It is the duty of the owners to take care of dogs. Dogs should also exercise based on the suggestions given by a veteran doctor. There are many sports available for dogs such as catching Frisbees, throw balls etc. While giving food for dogs, it is better to choose the specific dog foods and dog supplements available from a trustworthy brand. The foods which should be avoided are coffee, garlic, sweets, chocolates etc. It is necessary to feed the dog with fresh water everyday whenever needed. Dogs should be taken to the vet doctor on a regular basis. Also, love and affection is very important for dogs.

The End of Inequality

If there is one thing in the world I want more than anything, it is the end of unequal distribution of resources. The world is fast becoming a split between those who have more than enough and those who barely make ends meet. The disappearance of the middle class in America is very similar to the global environment. The countries with more than enough control the resources and the countries with barely enough beg for what the top does not use. The countries in the middle are losing ground the same way the American middle class is losing members. There are too many people with hardly anything and too few people with more than they can ever use in a lifetime. There should be an equal distribution of resources from food, shelter and education to health care and access to political power. Wealth would serve the world much better if more people had a share.
