Vanilla Please

The other day at work I was asked what my favorite flavor of ice cream is, I replied “vanilla”. My co-worker said that I was boring, “how could that even be considered a flavor”?  I argued that vanilla is not boring and that it can be used in a variety of ways.  Root beer floats are the best with vanilla ice cream and so is pie alamode.  My co-worker continued on saying that vanilla should not be considered a flavor.  Well if you can taste it, it is a flavor.  I was a bit annoyed, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Matrix – An answer to spirituality

Matrix is my Favorite movie and this movie is fiction cum action movie. It shows two kinds of world. One is real world and other is virtual world. This movie shows a war between mankind and machines. Actually this shows two aspects of our life. First is ‘what we are’ and second is ‘what we want to be’. Morphious’s belief in some super power leads to our belief in God and belief in God leads to spirituality. All the characters of this movie are very balanced and give strength to the movie.

Old dog bones-give them a rest!

Dogs are the most faithful companions mankind has ever known.  Their love is unconditional and they bring joy into our lives.  Many people go to bed at night with their canine companions taking up a large portion of the bed, and this is perfectly acceptable to all parties involved.  However, as dogs get older, the leap onto the bed gets more difficult.  Some people get small steps for the dog to climb up to get on the bed.  Other people spring for an orthopedic dog bed for their furry four-legged friend.  Orthopedic dog beds can offer support and comfort for an aging dog.  They still have the luxury of sleeping on a bed, but they don’t have to jump, and they don’t have to share it with anyone.

“Fatal Attraction” Can be Fatal

My favorite movie is Fatal Attraction. Although it was made in 1987, I can watch this movie over and over again and it’s always captivating. Being a fan of Lifetime Movie Network, Fatal Attraction is more of a “girlie” flick with psychological tension. This movie plays on the emotions. You don’t know if you like the person Michael Douglas portrays although I assume many people start feeling sorry for him. Glenn Close plays a great role as the seductress. It’s funny because her character of Alex Forrest is devious and I don’t think all that likable. I don’t think anyone even feels sorry for her because she’s the one soliciting the one night stand and not Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas). You really sympathize with Ann Archer who plays Dan’s wife. She’s so enthusiastic about buying a house and totally unaware of her husband’s infidelity and extremely hurt when she finds out about it. The acting is great, the plot superb. It’s a great film.
