Dixons Friend Moves In
Nov 28
Dixon is a one year old American Pit Bull Terrier. He has been knowing his “friend” Tiko since he was around 6 months old. Tiko is a year and a half old Pit Bull mix that my sister in law rescued from a shelter in Colorado. There was a ban put on pit bulls and they were going to be euthanized. Dixon and Tiko became acquainted after Tiko made his trip to Louisiana. Tiko lived next door to us. Him and Dixon had many play dates and wears dog cologne to impress the ladies. There were some times when they would fight. Sadly, my sister in law died. We welcomed Tiko into our home. Him and Dixon have since become inseparable. The best thing is there are no more fights and we were able to give Tiko a loving home.
My Healthy Dog

You can bring up your dogs on a healthy vegetarian diet. Dogs need to have a balanced diet that gives them all the nutrition they need. Many dog-owners accomplish this with a vegetarian diet, and their pets live long and healthy. For over 60 years, all the dogs in my family have been vegetarian. Many owned by other family members were repeatedly prize winners at dog shows in the 1950sâ€.My grandpa recommends milk, fresh curd, whole wheat bread, unpolished rice cooked with carrots, peas, potatoes, greens, turmeric and a spoonful of ghee, and chappatis. His dogs relish these when served warm.My dog loves wearing a dog jacket when its been on show and when we are out, as it is black in color the coat is red with white spots make it so beautiful and attractive.
My Gentle Giant
Nov 26
Maverick is a half Saint Bernard, quarter lab and quarter Great Dane. I have never had a really large breed dog before and my husband wanted one so we decided that after seeing an add on Craigslist we would go and check out the puppies. I fell in love instantly with his big sad puppy dog eyes and his brindle color. When we brought him home I had no idea how fast he would grow. It’s amazing to see him literally grow over night. He’s the sweetest dog we could have hoped for and loves wearing extra large dog sweaters. Although with him being over 150 pounds it’s sometimes hard for him to be gentle. He will come and lean on me and practically knock me over with out realizing it. I’ve been training him since we got him and he is a gentleman. I would recommend a large breed dog only to those who realize how big they are going to get.
